Areas of Focus/ What We Do
1.Publication and dissemination of Nkrumah’s Books: During his lifetime, Nkrumah authored 21 books and pamphlets articulating his vision, philosophy and ideology. As part of our long-term vision, we seek to embark on a re-print of some selected books and recorded speeches
2.Women and Children Empowerment: At the Kwame Nkrumah Pan-African Centre, we believe that empowering women and protecting children’s rights to participate fully in society is fundamental to building strong economies, establishing more stable and just societies and achieving internationally‐agreed goals for development.
3.Community Development: Through research and advocacy, we seek to build and strengthen the capacity of poor communities to participate in decision making. We will also support the provision of socio-economic infrastructure in deprived communities.
4.Youth Empowerment: We aim to develop independent, critical thinkers, lifelong learners and responsible African citizens who will be the future leaders of society.
5.Kwame Nkrumah Presidential Library Project: The Centre intends to build a Kwame Nkrumah Presidential Library, which will be the repository of all papers, material, books, and documentaries about Nkrumah; his life and ideas. The library would also serve as a centre for education and awareness raising towards African emancipation and renaissance.
6.KNAC Research and Policy Institute
Mainly concerned with research and policy issues on Pan-Africanism, African development, social justice and other relevant areas of concern.
7.South-South Research and Advocacy: research and advocacy on the relationships and solidarity between countries in the global south to advance trade, governance and mutual progress.
