Samia Yaba Christina Nkrumah (born 23 June 1960) is a Ghanaian politician and chairperson of the Convention People's Party (CPP). In the 2008 parliamentary election, she won the Jomoro constituency seat at her first attempt. She is the daughter of Kwame Nkrumah, first President of Ghana

Vision, Mission and Goals

The Kwame Nkrumah Pan-African Centre is a not-for-profit organisation that takes its root from the ideas, teachings and vision of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s First President.

We believe that people everywhere must have access to basic socio-economic amenities. Public policies must be directed at addressing the problems of unemployment, poverty, lack of shelter and inadequate educational facilities that confront masses of the population. In addition, policies must aim at providing opportunities for all to realise their full potential. The organisation through education, social interventions and research seeks to contribute to address many of the challenges that confront the poor and vulnerable in human societies to help build a just and a better World.

To see an Africa politically united and capable of guaranteeing fulfilment for all Africans in all spheres

Mission

To promote the ideas and work of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah through, research, advocacy on policies and legislation which directly impact positively on the world’s poor, particularly in Africa.

Our Objectives

  • To promote Pan-Africanism and the unity of all Africans including those in the diaspora.
  • To promote intellectual discourse on the relevance of Kwame Nkrumah’s ideas to Africa in the 21st Century, particularly as related to African unity.
  • To assist and support the provision of social and economic infrastructure in deprived urban and rural communities.
  • To promote citizens’ participation and inclusion in decision making as a new approach to ensure sustainable development.
  • To promote gender equality and youth empowerment
  • To promote and conduct research on development issues from a broader African perspective in order to provide alternative policy options for African development.
