What ?

An event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the All African People’s Conference. It will also feature strategic workshops by Pan-Africanists from across the world to fashion a plan for the first Pan-African Federalist Congress whose task it will be to campaign for African political unification at the grassroots level.

When ?

The event is scheduled to take place from December 8th – 13th 2018. The first day, December 8 will be the opening and commemorative ceremony. The subsequent day will be spent discussing various topics relevant to the achievement of the future United African States, including workshops and panel discussions. December 13 will be the closing ceremony.

Who ?

Kwame Nkrumah Pan-African Centre and Pan-African Federalist Movement are jointly organizing this historic event.

Pan-Africanists from across the world are gathering in Accra to participate in this event. Members of the Pan-African Federalist Movement from all parts of Africa, North America, the Caribbean and Europe will attend. There will also be notable Pan-African champions whose work in advancing the African unity is recognized. Some of these who have confirmed attendance include Dr. Julius Garvey, son of Marcus Garvey – the father of Pan-Africanism, Malaak Shabazz, daughter of Malcolm X and human rights activist, Professor Edem Kodjo, former General Secretary of the OAU, Professor Yash Tandon, former Executive Director of the South Centre, Professor Theophile Obenga, renowned Egyptologist.

The Presidents of Ghana, Uganda, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria and Ethiopia will grace the occasion. Also in attendance will be the Former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, Former President Alpha Konare of Mali and Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia.


Where ?

This historic event will be held at the newly-built Cedi Conference Centre at the University of Ghana, Accra.
